How libraries are using social media

·         a library blog …..State library of NSW (NSL) link https://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/blogs. This link provides access to blogs on a range of subjects, from what is new in terms of library exhibits, to 'behind the scenes' blogs, to what is happening in terms of library research.

·         a library YouTube page.....The National library of Australia (NLA) has its own You tube channel. Here you can subscribe to features such as digital classrooms, watch lectures from the library and see what people are saying about the library's exhibitions. The link is https://www.youtube.com/user/wwwnlagovau.

·         a library Facebook page....This link .https://www.facebook.com/nypl/ takes you to the New York public library (NYPL) Facebook page. Photos, events, reviews and jobs available are all posted here. Like many Facebook pages you really need to be logged in to get the full benefit of the site.

·         a library Twitter page......The State library of Queensland (QSL) has a twitter account to display photos, direction and links to other twitter pages of interest ; the link for this is at https://twitter.com/slqld

·         a library Instagram page....The London library (LL) has some wonderful photos on its Instagram web page. Instagram's focus is really just images and videos ; not a lot of textual information or facts can be gained here. However the link is https://www.instagram.com/thelondonlibrary/
